Dropin

Abstract & Slides

Dropin is a Responsive Web & Mobile App which allows Musicians from all over the world to collaborate in real time in the composition and production process of audio contents, doing away with the distance between the various collaborators and facilitating team-work.
Users just need to open the browser of their devices, be it Desktop or Mobile, to access an international network of artists. They can use tools like chat, messaging and access projects and shared resources to work together in real time simply by opening the browser of their device, be it desktop or mobile.

Dropin is developed entirely in HTML5 precisely to guarantee high accessibility, also using smartphones and tablets.
The tracks composed on Dropin, or those which had been previously produced, and then uploaded, can be shared for free or put on sale for users.
Thanks to a Tags and Moods system, users can classify the contents uploaded and every time a user listens to, purchases or shares content, Dropin refines their profile, identifying their most prominent interests in order to then suggest new content to listen, friendships, musical projects or events, which are strictly in line with their preferences.
There is no need to render audio, which is performed according only to the needs of users.
Dropin is in alpha release, near to the public beta , at the url: http://www.dropin.fm
